Experience
I am a dedicated educator with several decades of experience in a variety of leadership roles across two states in the southeastern US. My work centers around the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve at the highest level and that leaders are key in creating the environment for success. I began my career as a teacher and progressed as a guidance counselor, principal, director of human resources, and assistant superintendent. As such, I have a deep understanding of how the various components of an organization fit together to support both students and adults. My skills, knowledge, and expertise transcend education and easily transfer to any organization.
I am on the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) Principal Mentor Coordinator for the Alabama New Principal Mentoring Program, providing guidance and support to emerging school leaders and those who mentor them. I receive frequent invitations to present at conferences. As the founder of Townsend Consulting, I continue supporting educators, leaders, and organizations through professional development programs, mentoring, and coaching.
